The delegation, composed of the Azerbaijani entrepreneurs and led by the Caspian Energy Club Chairman and CEO Telman Aliyev, has taken part in the business tour across Kazakhstan. The business tour was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aktau and the Trade House of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan. A number of B2G/B2B meetings and events took place in the framework of the business tour made across the three cities of Kazakhstan: Aktau, Nur-Sultan and Almaty. This was reported by the press service of the Caspian Energy Club.
As part of the business tour in Aktau, a meeting was held with the first Deputy Akim of the Mangystau region Bekbol Orynbasarov, where entrepreneurs got familiar with the potential of the region and discussed the prospects for the Azerbaijani entrepreneurs’ participation in projects ongoing in the Mangystau region. It was noted at the meeting that Azerbaijan plays an important role in the foreign trade relations of the Mangystau region.
The foreign trade turnover of Mangystau region with Azerbaijan in 2022 amounted to 41.9 million US dollars, including exports – 29.9 million US dollars, imports - 12 million US dollars.
At the same time, registered in the region were 199 enterprises involving the Azerbaijani capital and engaged in various sectors of the economy.
Then the First Deputy Akim of Aktau Bekbol Orynbasarov, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Aktau Elmar Mammadov and Head of the Trade House of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan Rahim Sultanov told about joint projects implemented in Aktau and Mangystau region.
During the meeting, Namik Hajiyev, the founder and head of the company ‘Yagmur-2’, and Najmeddin Tashbag, founder and director of Kartash ltd, held a short presentation of their activities. The meeting ended with the presentation of the Club’s honorary membership certificate to the First Deputy Akim of Mangystau region Bekbol Orynbasarov.
After the meeting in the Akimat of the Mangystau region, the delegation of entrepreneurs headed to the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Aktau city. At the meeting, entrepreneurs told about their business projects and asked questions which were of interest to them. The Consul General of Azerbaijan in Aktau Elmar Mammadov was also presented an honorary membership certificate of the Club.
Then the delegation of the Caspian Energy Club took part in the bilateral meeting held with colleagues from the Atameken chamber of entrepreneurs of the Mangystau region. The director of the chamber Rashit T. Mustapayev spoke about the chamber’s activity and presented Kazakhstani companies. The founder and head of the company VITAM Tehran Aliyev, founder and head of Mobil Group Vusal Khalilov and representative of Debet Safety Nasir Amirov made presentations about their companies’ activities and invited counterparts from Kazakhstan to cooperate. The entrepreneurs held bilateral negotiations after the conclusion of the official part of the meeting.
At the end of the visit to Aktau, the delegation of the Caspian Energy Club got acquainted with the activities of the Azerbaijan Trade House in Aktau. In particular, the entrepreneurs visited Narsharab store and viewed the construction of the trade center in the construction complex "Khazar Palace", built by the Azerbaijani construction and investment company "Caspian Service".
In the evening, a CEO Dinner was arranged at the branch of the Azerbaijani restaurant “DOLMA” in Aktau. Participating in the event were officials and entrepreneurs of the Mangystau region. The CEO Dinner event was organized with the support of the Trade House of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan.
The next morning, the delegation of the Caspian Energy Club arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan - the city of Nur-Sultan. A meeting of entrepreneurs with representatives of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Kazakhstan began after a short introductory tour over the Trade House of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan. In the course of the meeting the Counselor of the Azerbaijan Republic Embassy in Kazakhstan Rovshan Kazimov and his colleagues answered the questions of the meeting participants, including those who joined the meeting online from Azerbaijan.
The official representative of Sensum By Amapola, Kamran Rahimli, made a short presentation about the company's activities at the meeting.
A CEO Lunch with the participation of officials of Kazakhstan and entrepreneurs of both countries was organized after the meeting ended.
Then the Caspian Energy Club delegation met with the management team of Atameken and Kazenergy. The parties reached an agreement to implement joint projects, organize bilateral business forums and business tours. During the meeting, the member of the board of the Caspian Energy Club Zaur Darabzade, founder and director of the company ‘Enermus’ Zaur Mustafayev, as well as the founder and head of Azeriexpress Company Shaig Garibzade made a brief presentation about their activities. Another meeting took place at the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. Participating in the meeting were heads and representatives of the Kazakhstani companies interested in implementation of projects within Azerbaijan. President of the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Kayrat Aitbay and other members of the board of the association spoke about their activities. In the framework of the meeting, Khalid Samadov, founder and chief of the company Avtomatika.Az, and head of Veliev LLC Jeyhun Veliyev made a brief presentation on their activities. The last day in Nur- Sultan was also full of meetings and events related to friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The Week of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan was launched at the initiative of Rahim Sultanov, Head of the Trade House of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan. Exhibition of the Azerbaijani painters was organized in the morning in the building of the Trade House of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan. A large holiday concert and festival with tasting of the
Azerbaijani cuisine was organized for all guests and residents of the city of Nur-Sultan in the evening of the same day.
Officials, representatives of the creative intelligentsia, diplomatic corps, as well as entrepreneurs of the two countries attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition and concert. Entrepreneurs continued their communication during the CEO Dinner held at ‘DOLMA’ restaurant.
The last day of the business tour in Kazakhstan was held in Almaty, where entrepreneurs conducted individual meetings according to the initially planned schedule.
The member companies of the Caspian Energy Club will make the next visit to Almaty city late in September, which coincides with the time frame of KIOGE.
