“USAID and Caspian Energy Club start working together”, this was said by the Caspian Energy Club Chairman and CEO, Telman Aliyev.

“USAID is a very reputable organization and we are happy to start cooperation with you. This agreement will be implemented as part of the private sector development project and will lay the foundation for a new direction of cooperation between USAID and Caspian Energy Club. This, in turn, will allow to hold social events and will further expand the range of events conducted by the Caspian Energy Club in the regions. We put a premium on the implementation of joint projects and activities in the field of small and medium business, in the agro-industrial sector, as well as projects concerning gender equality and education. Therefore, we will hold a larger number of forums, meetup events, workshops and trainings. We extend our gratitude to the USAID top management and team for the support and engagement. We are confident that our cooperation will yield fruitful results in the near future”, Telman Aliyev said.

The USAID Private Sector Development (PSA) Project (2019-2024) creates conditions for making joint investments and establishing partnerships, which increases the sustainability of the Azerbaijani economy and improves a favorable business environment. The project provides for strengthening the competitiveness of the private sector in Azerbaijan (with an emphasis on the development of agriculture and economic activity in rural areas) and the potential of business support services, as well as for the removal of administrative barriers hindering the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The PSA project unites women-led enterprises, professional associations and their members, strengthens their potential and stimulates women's economic activity, creating new opportunities for women in rural areas.
