Caspian Energy Club delegations visits Kazakhstan

The delegation composed of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs and headed by the Caspian Energy Club Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Telman Aliyev, made a business tour to Almaty. The press service of the Caspian Energy Club reported this information.

On the first day of the business tour, top managers, members of the Caspian Energy Club, together with colleagues from Kazakhstan, got acquainted with the tourist opportunities of Almaty and held meetings with the owners of hotels and leading restaurant chains in Almaty.

On the same day, a meeting with the Consul General of Azerbaijan in Almaty, Anar Huseynov, was held. Participating in the meeting were well-known Azerbaijani businessmen living and working in Kazakhstan.

On the following day, the members of the Caspian Energy Club attended the Kazakhstan International Exhibition and Conference KIOGE, and met with the Energy Minister of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov, Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov, Chairman of the Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Chairman of the Board of NC ‘QazaqGaz’ JSC Sanzhar Zharkeshov, President of Tengizchevroil Kevin Lyon, former US Ambassador in Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza, SOCAR Vice President Khalig Mammadov and other officials.

At the meetings, Telman Aliyev introduced the new chairman of Caspian Energy Kazakhstan, Zaur Mustafayev, and spoke about plans for the development of bilateral business relations and future activities in Kazakhstan.

The Chairman of Caspian Energy Kazakhstan, Zaur Mustafayev, in his turn, stressed the importance of holding joint business forums and business tours, implementation of joint projects contributing to the strengthening and expansion of bilateral business and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

The next day, held were meetings with Akerkin Eralieva, Deputy Director of the ‘Atameken’ National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty city and the leadership of the Kazakhstan Association of oil-gas and energy sector organizations ‘KAZENERGY’ – General Director Kenjebek Ibrashev and Executive Director Baurzhan Umirzakov. Discussed at both meetings was the bilateral cooperation between associations in the field of information exchange, as well as joint activities in the oil-gas and non-oil sectors.

The Caspian Energy Club which brings together over 5,000 companies and organizations from 50 countries was established in June 2002.
