“Az-Granata” LLC's fruit juice and wine processing plant covering 14 hectares in the Agsu region is one of the largest enterprises in the South Caucasus in terms of production capacity. The annual production capacity of the plant is formed100 million packages for fruit juice and 24 million bottles for alcoholic beverages. The plant, which was commissioned on October 30, 2011 with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev, currently produces various types of fruit juices, compotes, concentrates, lemonade, grape leaves, jams, abgora, as well as various wines, whiskey, cognac, raki, fruit vodka and simple vodka. The annual production capacity of the plant is formed 100 million packages for fruit juices and 24 million bottles for alcoholic beverages. The plant consists of a fruit reception and processing, concentrate preparation, storage of fruit juices in aseptic tanks, wine and dark beverage cellars, distillery, glass and "tetra pak" filling and packaging shops, storage of finished and auxiliary section materials.




In the dark beverage tanks, whiskey alcohol processed on the basis of Scottish technology is stored in 500-liter barrels made of American oak. These oak barrels were brought from France. In addition to whiskey, the dark beverage warehouse contains cognac spirits stored in oak barrels for 3 to 30 years. Due to the richest cognac reserves in Azerbaijan, the dark drink warehouse of the Az-Granata plant is called the golden fund of cognac.

There are 128 stainless steel barrels of “Az-Granata” that, each capacity is 1,700 decaliters (10 litres). At the same time, the ware cellar has oak tanks with a capacity of 225-350 liters imported from America and France, 18 oak barrels, which has each with a capacity of 800 decaliters, produced by the Italian company Garbellotto. It is used to grow high quality wines. Here the temperature is stable between 14-16 degrees throughout the year.
A Modernization workshop meeting modern standards has been established at the plant. Madera-type port wine is purchased in the shop. To do this, the wines are kept in oak barrels at high temperatures and the storge period is minimum 3 years.

The 75-seat tasting hall of the “Az-Granata” plant is designed in accordance with the rules of international wine tasting. At the initiative of the plant's management, a special stand was set up in the tasting hall for each of the other wineries operating in Azerbaijan, and the products of these wineries were placed on their own stands. There is also a small wine-making museum in the tasting hall, which is met with interest by local and foreign visitors.



The plant is supplied with equipment made in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Bulgaria and France.

Many brands produced at the enterprise strengthen their position in the domestic market as well as in foreign markets. The plant's export potential, which currently exports to 30 countries, continues to grow.





“Az-Granata” LLC has 4 hectares of mulberries, 15 hectares of cherries, 350 hectares of pomegranates and 500 hectares of grape yards. Important work is constantly being done to increase garden areas. Orchards, fruit production and farming methods are regularly checked by local and foreign experts. Drip irrigation system is applied in the gardens. Some of the fruits are sold in domestic and foreign markets, while others are used as raw materials in the enterprise. The company's grape yards are built on the Adnali plateau of the Langabiz Mountain Range in the Greater Caucasus. Bayanshire, Madrasa, Rkasiteli, Chardoney, Muscat Alexandria, Danlas, Saperavi, Cabarnet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabarnet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc and others are among the local and foreign technical grape varieties grown on the lands in accordance with special agro-technical rules. There are grape varieties Sultaniya, Ora, Centenial Seedless, Thompson Seedless, Superior Seedless, Crimson Seedless, Red Globe, Alphons Lavallie, Prima and Cardinal are grown. Organic pomegranate orchards planted on 350 hectares cultivate Gulovsha, Pink Gulovsha, Red bark, Thin bark, Bala Mursal, Afghan, Firuzeyi, Pig's nose, Velas pomegranate varieties.


“Az-Granata” LLC is always distinguished by its innovations. Among the innovations of the company are the following.
Abgora, the national non-alcoholic drink of Azerbaijan from ancient times to the present day, was first produced industrially in our country at Az-Granata LLC.
“Az-Granata” LLC became the first producer of Fexoa juice in our country.
Az-Granata LLC was the first enterprise in our country to produce green apple juice.
Many types of compote products offered for sale in domestic and foreign markets in “tetra-brik” (the system is a roll of packaging material that produces the package and gives it the shape of a tube) packaging were prepared for the first time in our country at Az-Granata LLC.
Concentrate was obtained by bringing to the plant the most modern vacuum device made in Germany. The resulting concentrate is exported to several foreign countries.
“Az-Granata” LLC produced whiskey based on Scottish technology.
Production of mulberry and cornel vodkas, the national alcoholic beverages of Azerbaijan, on the basis of new technologies is also known as one of the successes of “Az-Granata” LLC.
“Raki”, the national alcoholic beverage of the Turks, was first produced in our country at “Az-Granata” LLC.
At the first time in our country, 30-year-old collection wines were packaged and sent for sale from “Az-Granata” LLC.
For the first time in Azerbaijan, "Az-Granata" LLC produced wine based on wine and cryomatization inside a whole bunch of grapes.
For the first time in our country, “Az-Granata” LLC has started growing Madera wines in the open air in solar cells.
“Az-Granata” LLC has started production of liqueur wines based on new technology for fruit and berry dessert wines.
“Az-Granata” LLC played an exceptional role in the creation of pomegranate wines on the basis of new technology and their love by people.
Production of carbonated pomegranate wine was also carried out at “Az-Granata” LLC.
For the first time in Azerbaijan, non-alcoholic wine production was carried out at “Az-Granata” LLC. There are three types of white, red and pink wines obtained by vacuuming alcoholic wine.
Non-alcoholic wine contains resveratrol, polyflavonoids and a number of complex compounds with strong antioxidant properties. This significantly reduces the risk of serious diseases such as cancer in humans, and prevents radioactive radiation in the body. It is also possible to lose weight by using 150 milliliters of this wine every day.
For the first time in the world, “Az-Granata” LLC started producing vodka with a completely new technology. These vodkas, processed with a different technology, not only did not lag behind local and foreign vodkas in a short time, but also surpassed them in quality.
As a result, the demand for foreign vodka has already decreased by more than 30%. This to some extent prevents the outflow of national currency to foreign countries. Even today, vodkas produced by “Az-Granata” LLC are exported to countries such as Russia and Ukraine.
“Az-Granata” LLC has applied a method of removing toxic substances from vodka using goat's milk in the production of vodka. It is true that in some countries there are people who process vodka with milk. However, they process it with dry, skim milk, which also lowers the quality of the product due to the denaturation of milk powder.
Vodka produced by “Az-Granata” LLC is filtered for 7-14 and 28 days and then put on sale.
Natural honey and silver ions are added to the vodka of "Az-Granata" LLC. This in itself means improving quality indicators.
Pomegranate seeds were processed and sold abroad from “Az-Granata” LLC.
This year, for the first time in Azerbaijan, “Az-Granata” LLC is working to make new wines by soaking grapes on straw for 3-5 days.
"Az-Granata" has become a place of interest for tourists. The 500-hectare vineyards planted on the Adnali plateau of the Langabiz Mountains in the Greater Caucasus Mountains at an altitude of 600-800 meters above sea level were also included in the tourist route in accordance with the instructions given by President Ilham Aliyev in October 2017 during our visit to the vineyards. Guests also visit the grape yards in Shamakhi. “Az-Granata” juice and wine processing plant, which cooperates with about 20 tourism companies, receives a total of about 1,500 visitors each year. Thus, the company, which plays an invaluable role in the recognition of our local products in the world, aims to continue its activities in this direction.
