The President of the Supreme Court met with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan

On 10 March 2022, the President of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig.

At the meeting, the President of the Supreme Court emphasized the successful development of relations between our countries. He cited the activities of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in many areas, especially in the field of justice.

At the meeting, the President of the Supreme Court provided information about the judicial system of Azerbaijan, the new structure and scope of activities of the Supreme Court.

The President of the Supreme Court spoke about the measures taken in recent years to improve and modernize the judicial system in the country, as well as the tasks facing the Supreme Court in order to ensure justice and the rule of law.

The President of the Supreme Court stated that the latest information technologies, "Electronic Court" information system are used in the judicial system. Judicial selection procedures are conducted in accordance with new, modern standards.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Ambassador Wolfgang Manig stated that he is following with interest the work done in our country and the ongoing judicial and legal reforms. He noted the importance of expanding relations to learn more about the existing legislation and legal system of Azerbaijan. The Ambassador highlighted the significance of relations between the two countries and expressed confidence about the continuation of these ties.

An exchange of opinions around issues of mutual interest was held at the meeting.
