President approves memorandum on Eastern Zangazur between Azerbaijan and Iran

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has issued a decree on approval of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Iran to establish new communication links between the Eastern Zangazur Economic Region and Nakhchivan through the territory of Iran.

The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to take measures to implement provisions of the MoU.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to send a notification to the Government of Iran on the implementation of internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the MoU.
