President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the initial steps of tax reform in the country, e-huquq.az informs via UNIAN.
Zelensky made the remarks in a video message posted on the Telegram channel of the President's Office.
"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has agreed on a package of decisions to support our economy," the head of state noted.
According to him, instead of VAT and income tax, Ukrainians will pay 2% of turnover, and simplified accounting will be applied.
"For small businesses, and these are the first and second groups of individual entrepreneurs, we set the voluntary payment of a single tax. That is, if you can, pay. You can't - no question," Zelensky explained.
The second, he added, is the maximum deregulation of business.
"We cancel all checks for all businesses. So that everyone can work normally, so that cities can come to life. So that wherever there are no hostilities, life can continue. There is only one condition: you ensure the normal operation of your business within the framework of Ukrainian law," said the president.
He summed up that these are only the initial two steps of the tax reform.
On March 14, Volodymyr Zelensky said that his government would present a new tax model in the coming days, which would operate in Ukraine during the war and in the period of post-war development.
