NATO leaders sign off on four new battlegroups in Eastern Europe

NATO leaders have signed off on the deployment of four new battlegroups in Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, alliance chief Jens Stoltenberg said, e-huquq.az reports citing dpa.

"These are in addition to the four already in the Baltic countries and Poland," Stoltenberg said at a press conference.

"So we have eight multinational NATO battery groups now from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea," he added.
