The Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been admitted as a member of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe.

According to the e-huquq.az, the statement was made by Chairman of the Bar Association Anar Bagirov.

He congratulated the Azerbaijani advocates on this event.

“Today, at the plenary session of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) in Dublin, Ireland, the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan was admitted as a member of that organization. It should be noted that the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) is the most influential organization uniting the bar associations of the Council of Europe and all EU member states.

"As a result of 4 years of fruitful activity, the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan was officially recognized by the CCBE as an independent trade union and as a result of intense discussions was admitted as a member by a large majority," Chairman noted.
