Critical support to the families of martyrs and wounded veterans from the Bar Association

The following meeting of the Presidium of the Bar Association is set to be held in a video conference format.

E-huquq.az reports, opening the meeting, Chairman Anar Bagirov informed about the current activities of the Board, including allowing the free movement of lawyers during the strict quarantine period and observance of quarantine rules, etc. touched upon issues.

The meeting considered the issue of the "Guide to the Protection of Children's Rights" prepared in accordance with the cooperation agreement signed between UNICEF Azerbaijan and the Bar Association. Thus, Farhad Najafov, advisor to the chairman, said that Rafig Alishov, an expert on children's rights, and UNICEF experts have prepared a guide on the protection of children's rights by lawyers. Guide is said to have included childrens rights and their protection by lawyers. It was decided to recommend the guide to lawyers.
At the same time, according to the decision made at the meeting, the lawyers will provide free legal assistance to the families of martyrs and wounded veterans, as well as free representation in court proceedings. Families of martyrs and wounded veterans must register with the Bar Association's Legal Aid and Training Center for free legal assistance.
