9 members of the Bar Association were appointed judge - LİST

To ensure the sustainable progress of our country, the reforms implemented in all fields make it necessary to start a new stage in the development of the judicial system and to carry out sustainable reforms in this field.

Sustainability of reforms was ensured by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated 03.04.2019 “On deepening reforms in the judicial system”. In accordance with the decree, the humanization of penal policy, the creation of new judges, the provision of electronic services in quarantine conditions, the use of ICT in court proceedings have been expanded.

In order to improve access to the courts, reduce the workload of judges and ensure better and more timely consideration of cases, 44 candidates were appointed as judges by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated February 3, 2021. It is highly gratifying that out of 44 newly appointed judges, the following 9 were members of the Bar Association:

Sultanov Javid Rizvan oglu, lawyer of Baku Lawyer's Office No. 2, to Agdash District Court

It is noted that among the judges appointed so far were dozens of members of the Bar Association. This is an indication of Mr. President's high confidence in advocacy and lawyers.
