Who is a highly experienced lawyer in Azerbaijan?

On December 31 last year, President Ilham Aliyev signed an Order on awarding a group of lawyers with the Taraggi Medal ("Progress Medal"). Rajabova Eleonora Viktorovna was among those awarded on the occasion of the "Lawyer's Day" professional holiday and the "Taraggi" medal for her long-term effective activity in the field of law in Azerbaijan.

E. Rajabova, a member of the Bar Association and head of the Baku Legal Advice Office No. 5, is the highly most experienced lawyer in Azerbaijan, E-huquq.az reports.

Rajabova Eleonora Viktorovna was born on April 6, 1933 in Baku. After graduating from secondary school No. 66 in Baku in 1951, she entered the law faculty of the Azerbaijan State University and graduated in 1955. In the same year, she was accepted as a member of the Bar Association and was assigned to the Baku Legal Advice Office No. 5 to act as a lawyer. Initially, she worked as an intern for a short time, then as a professional lawyer. Although she stopped working as a lawyer due to her husband's diplomatic position and short stay in Syria, Lebanon and Kuwait, she later resumed her profession.

In addition to making practical contributions to the Azerbaijani advocacy, Eleonora Rajabova also played an exceptional role in the upbringing of the world-famous chess player Teymur Rajabov, who raised the name and flag of our country.

Rajabova Eleonora Viktorovna was appointed Deputy Director of Baku Legal Advice Office No. 5 in 1989, and Head of the same legal advice office in 1994.

In 1985, Eleonora Rajabova was declared a "Thanks" by the Minister of Justice of the USSR of Azerbaijan for her achievements in her work, and in 1987 she was awarded the title of "Labor Veteran".

During 1995-200 she was a member of the Presidium of the Bar Association, in 2005 - 2010 she was a member of the Bar Qualification Commission and the Judges' Election Committee.

In 2008, she was awarded the title of "Honorary Lawyer of the Bar Association."

In 2011-2013, she was awarded honorary diplomas of the Bar Association on the occasion of herself effective activity in the public life and 80th anniversary.

Rajabova Eleonora Viktorovna has been actively involved in the development of Azerbaijani advocacy for many years with her advocacy activities, and has always held the title of lawyer high by her exemplary lawyer behavior.

By the decision of the Presidium of the Bar Association dated April 4, 2018, Eleonora Rajabova was awarded the title of "Honorary Doctor of Law of the Bar Association" on the occasion of her effective activity, professional organizational skills and 85th anniversary.
