A meeting with the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Jaba Putkaradze was held within the framework of the ‘Online B2B Forum Adjara’ organized with the support of the Caspian Energy Club and Caspian Energy Georgia.
Presiding at the 'Online B2B Forum Adjara' was Ambassador Nikoloz Nadbiladze.
The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who fell in the battles for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Tornike Kuchava, Chairman of the Department of Tourism of Adjara Tina Zoidze and top managers of public and private companies representing different sectors of the economy of the two countries, have also joined the discussions held in the framework of the international ‘Online B2B Forum Adjara’. Official representatives of companies from the Autonomous Republic of Adjara also made presentations on the investment climate and tourism potential.
Telman Aliyev, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Caspian Energy Club, thanked the representatives of the government agencies for their flexibility and willingness to cooperate.
Welcoming the participants of the ‘Online B2B Forum Adjara’, Telman Aliyev noted the importance of bilateral forums: “During the pandemic, the Caspian Energy Club held several "Azerbaijan-Georgia Online B2B Forums". Relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia have always been at a high level and we are happy to promote the development of these relations in B2G, B2B and B2C format. Tourism is one of the most affected business sectors. Events of this nature will have a positive impact on the investment climate of tourism. Transport is the second main topic of our forum and the members of the Caspian Energy Club are undoubtedly interested in the Free Economic Zone of Adjara."
Ambassador Nikoloz Nadbiladze stressed the importance of the strategic partnership between the neighbor countries and noted: “Historically our countries have been standing together and this partnership was approved many times. I am proud that I had an opportunity to be in this process when I was an Ambassador of Georgia in Azerbaijan, and also now when I am representing Caspian Energy Georgia.
That Caspian Energy platform is one of the opportunities to support business cooperation between our countries. This platform gives opportunities to study local initiatives for business sectors. We are here to support and help businesses entities to invest and enlarge their portfolio”.
Exchange of opinions was made following the delivered speeches. The speakers also answered the questions given by top managers and representatives of companies.
The Caspian Energy Club which brings together over 5,000 companies and organizations from 50 countries was established in June 2002. As an active participant of the business-to-government dialogue, the major objective of the Caspian Energy Club is to improve the investment and business climate in Azerbaijan and in other countries where the Caspian Energy Club operates, as well as to stimulate and actively participate in the B2G, B2B and B2C dialogues.
