The delegation, composed of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs and headed by the Caspian Energy Club Chairman and CEO Telman Aliyev, has made a business tour to Batumi.
The business tour was organized with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi and the investment and construction company ‘Caspian Service’. There were a number of B2G/B2B meetings and events held in the course of the business tour to Batumi, the Caspian Energy Club press service said.
The first B2G forum was held with the participation of the Minister of Finance and Economy of the Adjara Autonomous Republic, Jaba Putkaradze.
In the course of the meeting with Jaba Putkaradze, the entrepreneurs familiarized themselves with investment and business opportunities, as well as discussed the prospects of the Azerbaijani entrepreneurs’ engagement in the projects ongoing in the Adjara Autonomous Republic. Jaba Putkaradze stressed the close friendly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan and noted the need to intensify the activities of logistics, tourism, construction and agricultural companies in the territory of Adjara.
The Consul General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Batumi, Parviz Ismailzade, also underscored the importance of maintaining a constant dialogue and cooperation between the companies of the two countries. “Georgia is our strategic partner and it is necessary that entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan get familiarized with all the opportunities in each region of Georgia,” Parviz Ismailzade stressed. He particularly noted the trend of increasing engagement of Azerbaijani companies in projects ongoing in Adjara.
Addressing the B2G forum, Telman Aliyev spoke about the history of the Caspian Energy Club, events and projects that had previously been held in Georgia and introduced the new Chairman of Caspian Energy Georgia, Zaur Darabzade, to the participants of the meeting, who was entrusted with the mission to further intensify the activities of the Caspian Energy Club in Georgia.
Zaur Darabzade expressed gratitude for the high trust placed in him. He stressed that he would take an active part and make all efforts to expand networking between entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as to develop trade and economic ties. Then, Jaba Putkaradze listened to the proposals of the B2G forum participants and answered their questions.

Then, the second B2G forum took place with the participation of the Mayor of Batumi Archil Chikovani. At a meeting with the officials and representatives of the Caspian Energy Club member companies, Archil Chikovani spoke about the plans for the development of infrastructure and tourism potential of Batumi. Archil Chikovani stressed the close friendly and business contacts kept between Azerbaijani and Batumi businessmen.
Then, Archil Chikovani listened to the proposals of the B2G forum participants and answered their questions.
Telman Aliyev thanked Batumi Mayor Archil Chikovani for an open and sincere dialogue, and presented him an honorable member certificate of the Caspian Energy Club.
The third B2G Forum was held with the participation of Tina Zoidze, Chairman of the Tourism Department of the Adjara Autonomous Republic. Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Tina Zoidze made a presentation of the tourism potential of Adjara and invited Azerbaijani tour operators to cooperate. Tina Zoidze noted the great interest of Azerbaijani entrepreneurs in the construction of hotels and entertainment centers on the territory of Adjara and in particular in Batumi.
Then, Tina Zoidze listened to the suggestions of the B2G forum participants and answered questions which were of interest to them.
Telman Aliyev thanked the Chairman of the Tourism Department of Adjara, Tina Zoidze, for an open and sincere dialogue and presented her an honorary member certificate of the Caspian Energy Club.
Later, a B2B forum, co-organized by the Caspian Energy Club and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, was held. The investment and construction company
‘Caspian Service’ was the general sponsor of the B2B forum. At the forum, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Giorgi Romanadze, made a presentation of the investment opportunities of Adjara and introduced Adjara businessmen who participated in the B2B forum.
The head of the representative office of the Caspian Service investment and construction company in Georgia, Rahman Sultanli, spoke about the company's activities in more than 20 countries around the world and about plans for activities in Georgia.
Azerbaijani entrepreneurs told about their business projects and asked questions which were of interest to them.
Signed in the framework of the B2B forum was a memorandum of cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and the Caspian Energy Club.
Telman Aliyev thanked the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Giorgi Romanadze, for his willingness to actively cooperate and presented him an honorary member certificate of the Caspian Energy Club.
Participating in the B2B forum were more than 50 entrepreneurs representing various sectors of the economy.
After the B2B forum, officials and entrepreneurs took part in the foundation laying ceremony of a new residential complex, the construction of which is carried out by the investment and construction company Caspian Service. Speaking at the ceremony, Batumi Mayor Archil Chikovani stressed that ‘these are Azerbaijan's first investments made after the pandemic and we are confident that this project will contribute to the flow of new companies from fraternal Azerbaijan’.
Addressing the participants of the ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the investment and construction company Caspian Service, Rahim Sultanov, expressed gratitude to the Mayor's Office of Batumi and all businessmen for their support in the implementation of the project, and lowered a capsule with a memorable record for future generations.
Next morning, the Caspian Energy Club delegation visited a number of manufacturing enterprises and company offices. Then, the members of the Caspian Energy Club visited the sights of the city of Batumi, and entrepreneurs held individual meetings according to the originally planned schedule.
