"Our task at this stage should be to prevent the enemy disinformation campaign, at least by actively participating in the information war."

According to the e-huquq.az, this statement was made by political scientist Yusif Bagirzade, commenting on the Armenian terror and attacks on our civilians.

He noted that according to international law there are enough facts to fully prove that Armenia is an aggressor, but also a terrorist state. Unfortunately, the occupation state continues to this day with its heinous intentions.

“Unfortunately, the unjustified Nagorno-Karabakh conflict that began in 1988, the reaction of Armenia in the Azerbaijani territories and the suffering of the innocent Azerbaijani population, which became a victim of this reaction, were indifferent both from the leadership of the former USSR and from the civilized the world. Inspired and taking advantage of this situation, the Armenians managed to implement the policy of genocide against Azerbaijanis and unprecedented historical crimes one after another. Twenty percent of Azerbaijan's territory, including seven other regions outside Nagorno-Karabakh - Kalbajar, Lachin, Agdam, Fizuli, Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan - were occupied by Armenian troops. More than 1 million Azerbaijanis were brutally expelled from the homes of their ancestral homes, tens of thousands were killed, maimed and taken hostage. Hundreds of settlements, thousands of cultural, educational and healthcare institutions, historical and cultural monuments, mosques, shrines and cemeteries were destroyed and subjected to unprecedented Armenian vandalism. “In the first years of the conflict, the tragedies committed by Armenian armed bandits in the Azeri-populated villages of Karkidzhakhan, Meshali, Gushchular, Garadaghly, Aghdaban and other parts of Nagorno-Karabakh are, finally, the historical crimes of the Khojaly genocide. "

The political scientist said that terrorist crimes committed by Armenia continue today: "Every time a ceasefire was declared in Ganja, civilians were targeted, then rockets were fired at Barda, attacks on Tartar and Goranboy continued, resulting in 91 deaths, 405 injuries, more than 2,000 houses and 97 buildings were destroyed, all of these are clear evidence. This terror against civilians demonstrates once again that the occupying Armenians violated the norms and principles of international law, international humanitarian law, in particular the Geneva Conventions, as well as the Convention for the Protection of Civilians in War of 12 August 1949, as well as the UN Security Council. It has not yet abandoned its aggressive policy of committing military and terrorist crimes against peace and humanity, which is a flagrant violation of the relevant provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other human rights instruments. Although Armenia's inhuman behavior has already been recognized by international organizations, unfortunately, influential international organizations do not take serious measures to prevent them from doing so, which further exacerbates them and encourages them to commit new crimes.

Today, Armenia, defeated on all fronts, is not only committing terror against our civilians, but also waging an information war using information resources and social networks, circulating false information about our country and the course of military operations. The Azerbaijani army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief fulfills its duties with dignity. Our task at this stage should be to prevent the enemy's disinformation campaign, at least by being active in the information war.

Another task facing us as a state is to form a strong national memory of the genocides committed against our people in the last century, the Armenian terror in present and future generations, to achieve a political and legal assessment of these tragedies by the whole world, to eliminate its grave consequences and so on. It should try not to repeat the situation”.
