Let no one compare us with the Azerbaijan of the 1990s," - MP

"Let no one compare us with the Azerbaijan of the 1990s. We gave Armenians a ten-day period, taking into account the really harsh weather conditions and climate. All this was within the framework of the general schedule. By December 1, the Armenian soldier will leave our regions.”

This statement has made by MP, member of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Bahruz Maharramov, e-huquq.az reports.

He noted that the general agreement is until December 1, and according to the schedule, the Armenians must withdraw their troops from the Azerbaijani lands: “As we know, according to a joint statement signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on November 10, demonstrating the humanism of Azerbaijan, it is time to withdraw the Armenian armed forces from the Kalbajar region until November 15, Azerbaijan agreed to extend it until November 25. But this was not welcomed unilaterally and it was discussed that the Armenian side violated the terms of the statement. Our citizens have been waiting for the liberation of these regions for years. Of course, it is normal for citizens to worry and think that Armenia should not have been given time. But just as we entrusted our Supreme Commander-in-Chief with the signing of this statement, we must have this confidence today.

Let's take into account that the head of such a great state as Russia made such an appeal to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and if the request came from him, we accepted this appeal as his guarantee and gave him a deadline. We also saw from the statement of the Ministry of Defense that the Azerbaijani Army is ready to deploy in our lands in a fully integrated manner. The concern of citizens is understandable, but we must trust our state and the head of state. The army is the same army and the state is the same state. "

The MP said that everyone remembers the form in which the IDPs were given a respite when leaving Kalbajar, and the tragedies that befell people in the humanitarian corridor that opened in Khojaly: “"But they are Armenians, and we are Azerbaijanis. This is our difference. The Armenian Armed Forces fired at civilians in Ganja, Barda. But we took our revenge on the battlefield. We chose the military as a target. The MP also clarified the possibility of Armenians asking for such a delay when leaving other regions: “I do not think they want the same respite for other regions. Because the relief of such regions as Agdam and Lachin is not like Kalbajar. I do not think that this date will be extended beyond December 1,"- B. Maharramov said.
