"Today, 103 years have passed since the most horrific massacre in the history of the South Caucasus, the genocide against Azerbaijanis. It is unfortunate that the terrible consequences of the Armenian-Dashnak ideology are still being ignored. However, despite sufficient records and historical evidence, it is unfortunate that one of the despicable genocides of the last century has not received enough attention legal recognition in the world, the real face of Armenians and the terrible consequences of the sick Armenian-Dashnak ideology, a historical threat to peace and stability in the region”.

The statement was made by MP Bahruz Maharramov, e-huquq.az reports.

He recalled that in January-May 1918, Armenians brutally killed tens of thousands of Azerbaijanis in Baku, Shamakhi, Guba, Yerevan, Karabakh, Nakhchivan, Salyan, Navahi, Lankaran, Kurdamir and Kars, and hundreds of cultural and historical monuments were vandalized: "March 31 was first commemorated as the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis only 80 years later, according to the Order of National Leader Heydar Aliyev dated March 26, 1998. In 2013, by the decision of President Ilham Aliyev, the Genocide Memorial Complex was established in Guba in memory of its victims, and important facts began to be demonstrated, including mass graves showing clear traces of Armenian savagery and vandalism. However, despite sufficient records and historical evidence, it is unfortunate that one of the despicable genocides of the last century has not yet received the necessary legal recognition in the world, the real face of Armenians and the terrible consequences of the sick Armenian-Dashnak ideology, a historical threat to peace and stability in the region. It is the result of this pervasive impunity and hypocrisy that over the past hundred years, Armenians have repeatedly committed acts of ethnic cleansing and genocide against Azerbaijanis, occupied more than 20 percent of the internationally recognized territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 28 years. During the 44-day war, civilians in Ganja, Barda, Tartar and other cities outside the war zone were deliberately targeted by rocket attacks”.

B. Maharramov noted that despite the fact that the world community has been silent on the occupation for 28 years, Azerbaijan, with the successful Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev's restoration of justice in Karabakh militarily and politically, forced Armenia to capitulate will be forced to respond with an apology.
