Political scientist: "The best response to Iran is to deepen relations with Israel"

The best response to Iran, which supports the Armenians at every opportunity, is to deepen relations with Israel.

The statement was made by political scientist Yusif Bagirzadeh, commenting on the visit of Iranian Ambassador in Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohuri to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, e-huquq.az reports.

He said that the Iranian ambassador to Armenia expressed concern over the tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and expressed condolences to the families of the Armenian servicemen and looking through the binoculars of Azerbaijan does not correspond to the behavior of a diplomat of a country to be considered a friend. According to the political scientist, this step of the ambassador of a country, which supports the Armenians at every opportunity, is not so unexpected: "Because Iran has repeatedly proved its support for Armenia with all its actions, statements and statements of its officials, both during the occupation of our lands, during the 44-day Karabakh War and in the post-war period. Of course, such visits by the ambassador of any country cannot take place without the consent of the government of the country concerned. Y. Bagirzadeh noted that criticizing Armenia's destructive policy at a time when demarcation and delimitation of borders, opening of transport and communication lines is a priority, and calling on Yerevan to implement the provisions of the Tripartite Declaration should be a priority for the international community, especially neighboring countries: "As Azerbaijan, our expectations from our neighbors, including Iran, are in this direction. But, unfortunately, we are witnessing the opposite. It seems that there are still forces that do not accept the new realities created by Azerbaijan in the region after the 44-day war and want to undermine these realities. The absurd statements of the French ambassador to Armenia are the most obvious example of what I have said about the well-known behavior of the US ambassador to Armenia, who regularly visits the border areas with Azerbaijan."

The political scientist said that many questions arose: "We need to ask official Tehran why the ambassador to Armenia came to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border?What is the point of visiting the border accompanied by the generals of a country that has occupied Azerbaijani lands for 30 years and participated in the murder of thousands of our people, and expressed concern about what happened?Why did not Iranian ambassadors to Azerbaijan visit those regions for the last 30 years because of Armenia's violation of our border?Why were the Armenians, who kept pigs in mosques and occupied the lands of the Muslim state, not once called by the Islamic Republic to end the occupation?I do not think that official Tehran will answer these questions sincerely.We have already seen who has stood by us as a friend and who has supported our enemy. Therefore, our steps must be taken accordingly.I think that the most appropriate response to such behavior of Iran at the moment may be the deepening of relations with Israel and the opening of our embassy there.
