Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry calls for dialogue between Ukraine and Russia

Azerbaijan regrets that the current crisis in Ukraine continues to cause significant civilian casualties, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during his video speech at the 49th meeting of the UN Human Rights Council, e-huquq.az informs.

He emphasized that the lives and infrastructure of the civilian population must be protected: "It is necessary to take immediate measures to overcome this crisis, in particular its impact on the civilian population."

The foreign minister recalled that Azerbaijan sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

"Azerbaijan calls for dialogue and emphasizes the need for direct negotiations between the parties," Bayramov said.
