Former Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Elman Rustamov has been appointed an adviser to Prime Minister Ali Asadov, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers told e-huquq.az.
Elman Rustamov was relieved of his post as a member of the Central Bank by the decision of the Milli Majlis yesterday. He was relieved of his post as a member of the Board and also from the chairmanship of the CBA. Rustamov, who will turn 70 this year, has been the head of the Central Bank since January 1995.
