President of Azerbaijan: We hope for the support of Britain in the direction of lasting peace and stability

"Our position is very clear. We stressed it and publicly put forward several important proposals that can lead to lasting peace, stability, security, and normal neighborly relations,' said President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as he received credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Fergus Auld, e-huquq.az reports.

The head of state said that we hope for the support of the British Government in this direction. We know that the agenda of your country in relation to the region is the same – peace, stability, security, and cooperation:

"I am sure that in the coming years, we will cooperate with you, your staff, and government officials in the direction of accelerating the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In other words, our agenda is quite broad," President said.
