Azerbaijani army positions in Kalbajar subjected to artillery fire

The positions of the Azerbaijani Army located in the direction of the settlements of Zaylik, Yellije, and Yukhari Ayrim of the Kalbajar district are fired from the positions of the Armenian armed forces located in the directions of the Yukhari Shorja, Ashagi Shorja and Zarkand settlements of the Basarkechar district, from D-30 and D-20 cannons, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan told e-huquq.az.

Despite the international community's calls and the agreement on the ceasefire, attacks and provocations continue along the border with the use of artillery and other heavy weapons by the Armenian armed forces.

"We once again declare that the responsibility for the large-scale provocations lies solely with the military-political leadership of Armenia.

"The Azerbaijani Army carries out local countermeasures only against firing points that are legitimate military targets.

"The Armenian side should refrain from provocative actions and adhere to the agreement reached on the ceasefire," the ministry said.
