"Who needs to present it as a dissatisfaction from all lawyers?!"

Chairman of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Anar Bagirov addressed the media.

According to the e-huquq.az, Mr. Anar Bagirov commented on the discussions on the letter sent by the Chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev to the Presidium of the Bar Association.

"Dear journalists, thank you very much!

You are so sensitive to the general activities of the Board, as well as to my letter of service to lawyers and individual lawyers.

As it is known, there are 1844 lawyers in the country, a number of cassation and additional cassation appeals were ignored and it was found mistake. Who needs to distort the issue by presenting it as a dissatisfaction from all lawyers and why?!

Please note that it is on the basis of the complaints of our lawyers that thousands of resolutions, rulings, decisions and judgments adopted by various courts are annulled or changed every year.

Sometimes a three-judge court overturns a lawyer's well-founded complaint. Of course, I will never agree that this is explained by the low level of professionalism of judges and that it is presented to the public in this way. Mistakes are possible and no one is insured against mistakes.

It is strictly inadmissible to distort business correspondence and professional discussion in any other way.

"I do not like this in professional journalism, and I urge the lawyers who sent this information to the media to be more responsible, not to sacrifice their professional interests to personal interests and to be serious," he said.
