"Ongoing monitoring underway on the activities of mediation organization"

An online meeting of the Special Commission of the Mediation Council was held on February 10.

The chairman of the Commission Baylar Mamishov told e-huquq.az.

He said that the meeting was attended by members of the Special Commission, members of the Disciplinary Commission of the Mediation Council and heads of mediation organizations.

"Over the past month, the heads of mediation organizations provided detailed information on the formation of mediation activities in organizations, the division of work, statistics of citizens' appeals, as well as the transparency of the appointment and receiving paid mediation costs. The questions of the commission members were answered. In the end, a report on the activities of mediation organizations was prepared and submitted to the Board of the Mediation Council," the chairman of the commission said.

According to B. Mamishov, the activities of mediation organizations will be constantly monitored and evaluated: "The main goal here is to ensure the healthy development of mediation reforms in the country and citizen satisfaction. We call on citizens to support us in this work. They can send all their opinions about mediation organizations and mediators to the e-mail address muraciet@mediasiya.gov.az".

It should be noted that currently there are 6 mediation organizations in Baku and 1 in Ganja. Compulsory mediation sessions in Baku, Ganja, Sumgayit, as well as in the Absheron region, provided by law, are carried out only by mediators operating in mediation organizations established in those regions.
