The situation in the field of mediation in Azerbaijan has been announced

At present, there are 142 mediators in Baku and 69 in other regions of the country. The statement was made by the chairman of the Mediation Council Nadir Adilov, e-huquq.az reports.

According to him, in July-August, the Mediation Council received 1,672 appeals from citizens, of which 805 were in Baku and 867 in other regions of the country.

N. Adilov noted that according to statistical analysis, when both sides participated in the initial mediation session, reconciliation was reached in about half of the cases: "Thus, 50 percent of the sessions attended by both parties in the pilot mediation center, which operates in the Yasamal District Court and provides free mediation services to the population, resulted in reconciliation. At the same time, a survey of 102 active mediators revealed that in 44% of cases in which both parties participated in the initial mediation session, the dispute resulted in a settlement in the mediation session".
