Sima Yagubova was elected a member of the Board of the Mediation Council

An extraordinary meeting of the General Assembly of the Mediation Council was held on December 3.

Chairperson of the Board of the Mediation Council, opened the meeting and informed the meeting participants about the issues on the agenda, informed the mediators about the existing problems and upcoming goals, e-huquq.az reports.

The appeal addressed to the Mediation Council by the Union of Court Judges Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan was considered. A positive decision was made on the implementation of effective coordination between mediation services and the judiciary, ensuring citizen satisfaction in this field, building relations between mediation and court users on healthy criteria , and accepting the Union of Court Judges Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan among the founders of the Council.

At the same time, the issue of voluntary termination of the activity of Yusif Asif oglu Allahverdiyev, a member of the Board of the Mediation Council, as a member of the Board was considered and his membership in the Board was terminated.

The meeting also adopted changes to determine the composition of the Board of the Mediation Council consisting of 5 mediators in order to organize the systematic implementation of important tasks and tasks related to the development of mediation in our country, to ensure the distribution of a wide range of workload.

It was noted that the issue of electing two other members to the Board will be considered at the extraordinary meeting of the General Meeting of the Mediation Council to be held next year after the changes are registered by the relevant registration authority.

After the termination of Yusif Allahverdiyev's membership in the Board of the Mediation Council on the basis of his application, Sima Yagubova, a mediator and a member of the Presidium of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was elected a member of the Board.

Members and chairman of the Election Commission consisting of mediators were elected at the meeting.

Gunel Sadigov was elected chairperson of the commission, Araz Yusifov, Esmira Huseynova, Leyla Nasibova and Elchin Hasanov were elected members According to the Election Commission, the decisions were made unanimously and by a majority of votes at the meeting, which was organized on the principles of openness and transparent voting.

Aladdin Jafarov, Chairman of the Union of Court Judges Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Elchin Khalafov, Acting Rector of the Academy of Justice, who is represented in the Mediation Council as a training authority, spoke at the meeting.

Other mediators, Dilara Afrasiyabova, Farhad Mehdiyev, Konul Yagubova, Ali Adigozalov, Ibrahim Jafarov, Aykhan Rustamzade, Ramil Shukurov, Mubariz Yolchiyev, Gulshan Salmanova, Elchin Mammadov, Arslan Mikayilov, Jala Hajiyeva, Gasim Shaliyev, Samir Aliyev, Aynur Karimova, Gunel Ismayilbeyli, Elchin Usub, Seymur Safarov, Mehriban Mammadova, Ilham Rahimov, Ibrahim Jafarov, Ilkin Ibrahimov, Lyudmila Rahimova expressed their views and suggestions on the issues discussed at the extraordinary meeting of the General Assembly.
